Bye Bye Fruit Fly was born out of the frustration some folks in Seattle were facing with the fruit flies that swarm their kitchens every summer. As much as they loved keeping fresh produce and composting kitchen scraps, they couldn’t stand those pesky flies. Our founder, Robin, was convinced we could create an earth-friendly solution made with sustainable, natural ingredients that would be safe for people and their pets.

From the first test batch of Bye Bye Fruit Fly, we committed to working with smaller local businesses who shared our ethos around the environment and community building and were able to connect with us on an individual level. These relationships mean that every step in the process is owned by someone who cares about the product and our customers and works to ensure the very best quality. Keeping things local also means we can lower costs and pass those savings on to our customers.

Our founder Robin might be a bit crazy about her backyard ‘urban farm’ in Seattle. But she believes that raising and growing a small amount of her own food brings her a little closer to nature and inspires her to explore ways we can make life easier for our customers and do right by the planet.
