Bye Bye Fruit Fly is designed specifically to catch Fruit Flies. If you still have pests in your home, check below to make sure they are fruit flies. If not – you may need a different solution!
Nope – just pour in a small container and let it be. No plastic wrap, no lids, – we’ve made it as simple as possible for you.
In an effort to reduce the impact on landfills – we decided to let you use your own containers. The container you choose will appeal to your tastes and you can wash and reuse it as much as you like. We prefer small ceramic ramekins or bowls. Shot glasses will work as well. It’s best to use shallow containers and fill them fairly close to the rim – we want to make it as easy as possible for the flies to find the liquid.
We have just begun testing the product in commercial kitchens with good results. We only produce 16 oz. bottles at this time. Let us know if you would like to be notified when larger quantities are available.
Fruit fly larva are likely on much of the fruit you bring into the home. Your best bet is to catch them as quickly as you can and keep them under control. Fruit flies also have an amazing sense of smell. They will actually come in from outside to see what’s on the menu in your kitchen.

It’s important to find the source of the infestation…..
– Is there a mushy, black banana or bruised apple at the bottom of the fruit bowl?
– Did the kids leave a fruit leather under the couch?
– Is there a peach pit in the bathroom garbage?
You may need to do some detective work. Once you eliminate the breeding ground you should start catching flies!
Make sure these are actually fruit flies you are battling. You might have an infestation of gnats or drain flies. Gnats usually lay their eggs in damp soil so you may find them around a house plant. Drain flies breed in the gunk deep down in the sink.

Fungus gnats are often mistaken for fruit flies. These guys come from the soil and generally congregate around house plants to do their business.

Another common pest is the drain fly. They lay their eggs in the sludge that can accumulate in the garbage disposal and fly out into the kitchen.
